Chura, Annette L. (Fitzl) Anderson (28 MAR 1938 - 8 MAY 2018)
Annette L. Chura, 80 of rural Thorp, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Our Lady of
Victory Hospital-Stanley.
She was born on March 28, 1938 to the late Edward and Bonnie (Abbott) Fitzl. She
grew up in the area worked for Presto in Eau Claire and then the Clark County
Health Care Center. Ann married George F. Anderson and they later divorced. She
married Louis Chura, Sr. on February 10, 1973 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in
Stanley.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Chura, Sr. of Thorp, two sons, Robert W
(Cindy) Anderson of Grants, New Mexico and Louis Chura, Jr. of Stanley, her
grandchildren, Ivory,
Shawn (Britney) and Eden Anderson, Anna (Nicolas) Castillo and Natalee (Evan)
Mendoza, four great grandchildren, Skylar, Conar, Mia and Aiyana, two sisters,
Donna Harycki of Chippewa Falls and Doris Gilberts of Stanley and many nieces
and nephews.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jeffrey Anderson, her
sisters, Lorraine Halterman and Edith Zimmerman and her brother Lawrence “Bud”
Fitzl.
A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Mary’s
Czestochowa Catholic Church-north of Stanley with Father Janusz Kowalski
officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from
4-7 PM on Thursday at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley and Friday morning at the
funeral home from 9:30 AM until departure to the church.
