DeYoung, June Ann (Rietveld) (4 APR 1929 - 2 AUG 2006)

June Ann (Rietveld) DeYoung, 77, Edgar and Mesa, AZ, died on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at a hospice facility in Mesa, AZ.

She was born in Harvey, IL, to Wilfred J. and Jennie J. (Vanderaa) Rietveld and graduated from Thornton Township High School in Harvey, IL. June married Peter DeYoung on July 24, 1948, in Chicago, IL. She was a sales representative for Tupperware and Avon products and worked as a home health aide and personal assistant. June was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Edgar.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Peter; children, Lee (Shari) DeYoung, Jenison, MI, Wayne (Penny) DeYoung, Peotone, IL, Terry (Cindi) Veldheer DeYoung, Holland, MI., Kent DeYoung and Joe Miracle, Mesa, AZ, and Burt (Dawn) DeYoung, Edgar; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; Marilyn and John Blackford, Thornton, IL, Ruth and Nelson Van Deursen, Manitowish Waters, and Ted Rietveld, Monteno, IL.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin, in 1965.

The funeral was held August 7 at Crete Reformed Church, Crete, IL, with the Rev. Terry A. DeYoung presiding. Burial was at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Peace Lutheran Church (ramp fund) F1843 Huckleberry Rd., Edgar, WI 54426.
