Weyer, Helen (17 MAY 1886 – 18 OCT 1973)
Mrs. John (Helen) Weyer, 87, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 6:10 p.m. at home
on Thursday, October 18, 1973.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church,
with burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery. The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated.
A concelebrant mass was held with Rev. Norbert E. King, Celebrant, and
co-celebrants were the Rev. Leander Koopman of St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Greenwood, and Rev. Andrew Bofenkamp of Christ the King Catholic Church,
Spencer.
Pallbearers were Richard Weyer Jr., John Weyer, Lawrence Weyer, Allen Weyer,
Joseph Weyer, and Raymond Weyer, all grandsons.
The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The former Helen Redig was born May 17, 1886 in St. Lawrence, Wis. She attended
St. Lawrence area schools, and was married on May 16, 1911 to John Weyer, who
preceded her in death June 26, 1959. The couple moved to Loyal in 1912 and
farmed until 1944, when they retired.
She was a member of the Altar Society of the church, and Senior Citizens.
She is survived by five sons, Andrew, Ceylon, Minn.; Alex, Seattle, Wash.; Mike,
Loyal; Richard, Loyal, and Robert, Loyal; three daughters, Mrs. Greg (Coletta)
Tasse, Marshfield; Mrs. Scharol (Anna) Foat, Barnes, Wis.; Mrs. Donald (Rosa)
Board, Wis. Rapids; 53 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters,
Sister M. Andrella, Aurora, Ill.; Mrs. Rose Wagner, West Bend, Mrs. Otto
(Katherine) Krebs, St. Lawrence, Wisconsin.
