Stiefvater, Carol Jean (20 OCT 1973)
United in marriage on October 20, 1973 in a 3 p.m. ceremony in St. Bernard's
Catholic Church at Wauwatosa were Miss Carol Jean Stiefvater, Wauwatosa, and
Gary F. Schweiss, 614 N. 10th Ave., Wausau.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugen Stiefvater, Wauwatosa, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Schweiss, Spencer.
Msgr. Dennis D. Barry officiated, and music was provided y the Collarmen,
seminarians from Waterford.
Miss Mary Stiefvater, Wauwatosa, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss
Margery Stiefvater, Wauwatosa, and Miss Patricia Schweiss, Greeley, Colorado.
The best man was Robert Schweiss, Coon Rapids, Minn., and groomsmen were Roger
Tieman, Vernon Hills, Ill., and Robert Stiefvater, Wauwatosa. Ushers were Thomas
Neidlein, St. Paul, Minn., and Terry Mestan, Milwaukee.
The bride is a 1972 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She was employed at St. Mary's Hospital,
Rochester, Minn., before her marriage. The bridegroom also graduated from the
UW, Eau Claire in 1972 with a major in Journalism. He is employed as wire editor
at the Record-Herald Co., Wausau. The couple is residing at the groom's address.
