Blankenburg, Estelle L. (26 MAR 1898 – 27 NOV 1973)
Estelle Louise Blankenburg, 75, 207 S. Division Street, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.),
died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 1973.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rinka Funeral Home, with
burial in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Rev. David Wenger, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Greenwood,
officiated.
The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The former Estelle Louise Flint was born March 26, 1898 in Argyle, Wis. She was
educated in Apple Branch School, Argyle, Wis.
She was married June 9, 1920 at Argyle, Wis. to Gustave S. Anderson, who died
October 5, 1958.
They farmed in Argyle from 1920 to 1936, then moved to Loyal, where they farmed
from 1936 – 1939. They then moved to Athens and farmed from 1939 – 1954,
returning to Loyal in 1954.
Her second marriage to Elmer Blankenburg took place July 6, 1960 in Iowa.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Glenn Anderson, Athens,
and Orville Anderson, Marshfield; one brother, Lester Flint, Argyle, Wis.; two
sisters, Mrs. Frank (Edith) McGranahan, Linden, Wis., and Mrs. Alvin (Helen)
Anderson, Argyle, Wis.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Joseph Poehnelt, Harvey Degenhardt, Albert Witt, Joseph
Schneeveis, Fred Timmler, and Ervin Stoneberg.
