Larson, Kenneth William (25 September 1924 – 13 May 2018)
Kenneth William Larson, 93, of Alma Center, died Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his
home, in the care of his family and Black River Memorial Hospice.
Kenneth was born September 25, 1924, in Garden Valley Township, Jackson County,
to William “Willie” and Rose (Wernberg) Larson. He graduated from Alma Center
High School in 1944. He married Wava Bush of Neillsville on May 26, 1948.
In 1955, Kenneth went to work for Nelson Muffler Corporation in Black River
Falls. In 2009, at the age of 84, Kenny retired from Cummins, formerly Nelson
Muffler Corporation after more than 53 years.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Wava, being married to for almost 70 years;
children: Dennis Larson and wife Carol of Lake Elmo, MN, Sherry Grams and
husband Rocky of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sheila Shields and husband Ric of
Tulsa, OK, Shannon Brager and husband Tim of Janesville, Craig Larson and wife
Courtney of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters-in-law: Marlene, widow of Reuben
Larson, Mona, widow of Merlin Larson and Shelby, widow of Virgil Larson. He is
further survived, by sisters-in-law: Hilda Bush, Barbara Bush, Wanda Erickson,
Lola Lindgren and LaVon Schnabel; brother-in-law Charles and wife Dorann Bush;
thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose; brothers, Vernon
(Viola), Reuben, Merlin and Virgil Larson; brothers-in-law: Darrell Bush, Dale
Bush, Gilbert Erickson, Jerry Lindgren, and Delbert Schnabel.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Alma Center Assembly of
God Church, Alma Center. Pastor Gary Hilgendorf of Hayward will be officiating.
Private burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Alma Center, WI.
