Knar, Jacqueline A. (Gingras) (2 MAY 1934 - 11 MAY 2018)

Jacqueline A. Knar, 84, of Stanley, died Friday, May 11, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Hospital-Stanley.

She was born on May 2, 1934 in Cobin, WI the daughter of Ann Gingras. She grew up there and graduated from Cornell High in 1952. She married Jack Knar on December 19, 1953 at Holy Cross Catholic Church-Cornell.

Jackie worked for Middleford Clinic and Montgomery Ward. Then, when Jack purchased the Ford dealership in Stanley she became the company bookkeeper. She enjoyed cards, reading, sports and loved “dinning out” with good fellowship.

She is survived by her children, Peggy Truckey of Appleton, William (Gloria) Knar of Stanley and Katherine Moniz of Nashville, TN, a daughter in law, Dorothy “Dotty” Knar of Stanley, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one sister, Carol Sterner of Eau Claire.

Jackie is preceded in death by her mother, husband Jack (2002), son, Johnny and a great grandson Rowyn Truckey.

A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church-Stanley with Father William Felix officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery-Stanley. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 PM at the Plombon Funeral Home with a 7:30 rosary by the Legion of Mary. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at the
funeral home from 9:30 AM until departure to the church.
