Swanson, Fred Leroy (31 MAR 1941 - 14 MAY 2018)
Fred Leroy Swanson, 77, of Ogema Wisconsin beloved father and hero to Renée
Bostian passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2018.
Fred was kind and warm hearted, he loved his dogs, fishing, hunting, gardening,
taking slow rides through the back roads of the country side, many times his
three dogs joined him.
Fred was born in Chicago Illinois on March 31, 1941, the son of Theodore and
Gladys Swanson. He was a medic in the US Army and was stationed in Germany and
that is where he met Christa Walter who later would be his wife, they had one
daughter, Renée.
Although the marriage did not last, many years later in 2002 Fred met a
wonderful caring person Patricia ‘Trish’ Gresch whom he loved with all his
heart. Fred had his own Business, Swanson Auto Body, his shop was located at his
home. Fred took an early retirement to take care of his father and mother until
their passing.
Fred is survived by his brother Jim Swanson of Minnesota; his daughter Renee
Bostian and husband Richard of Texas; grandson Keith Bostian and wife Sarah;
granddaughter Shelby; great-granddaughter River Bostian; Nephew Skip Swanson;
great-nephew Andrew Swanson; great-niece Rhiannon; as well as many cousins and
friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 21, 12:00 pm; service 1:00 pm at
Heindl Funeral Home, 761 South Street, Prentice, Wisconsin, with Pastor Quinlan
Koch of the First Lutheran Church of Ogema officiating. Military honors will be
conducted by the Southern Price County V.F.W. Post No. 8491 at Hillside Cemetery
State Highway 86, Ogema, 0.2 miles east of State Highway 13.
