Zimmerman, Caroline "Carrie" M. (Lang) (7 SEP 1908 - 29 JAN 2008)
Caroline "Carrie" M. Zimmerman, 99, Edgar, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 under
the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, at Mount View Care
Center, Wausau.
She was born September 7, 1908 in Marathon City, daughter of the late Conrad and
Isabella (Vetter) Lang. On September 9, 1930 she married Ralph Zimmerman at St.
James Catholic Church in Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1988.
Caroline was a homemaker who had also been employed at Marathon Electric and
Marathon Cheese. She was a member of St. John Parish Council of Catholic Women.
She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, baking and gardening. Grama
Caroline especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Schilling, Edgar, Jason
Zimmerman and Irene Zimmerman, both of Nekoosa; two great granddaughters,
Mackenzie Zimmerman-Schilling and Morgan Schilling, both of Edgar;
daughter-in-law, Kathy Zimmerman, Medford; two sisters, Isabelle Misudek, Edgar
and Stella Cortright, DePere; one brother, Frederick (Patricia) Lang, Wausau;
four sisters-in-law, Dolores Lang, Irene Lang, Evelyn Lang and Viola Lang, all
of Wausau; two sisters-in-law, Eva (Mark) Schroeder, Edgar and Rachel Riley,
Stevens Point.
Besides her parents and husband, Ralph, she was preceded in death by three sons,
Don Zimmerman, and twins Frederick James and Thomas Eugene Zimmerman; six
brothers, Clarence, Hugo, Hubert, Melvin, Arnold and Mark and one sister, Erna
Pozorski.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. John
Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Norman Boneck will preside. Burial will be in
the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of
services all at the church.
