Schnabel, Jeffrey (4 SEP 1963 – 16 MAY 2018)

Jeffrey Schnabel, 54, Eau Claire, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital, surrounded by family. A celebration of life with be held from 5-8 p.m., on Wednesday, May 30, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway (Highway 12) in Altoona.

Jeffrey Wayne Schnabel was born on Sept. 4, 1963, in Marshfield, to Wayne C. Schnabel and Mary (nee Wolf) Schnabel Rasmussen. He was raised in Greenwood and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1982. He then graduated from District One Technical Institute in Eau Claire with a degree in appliance servicing and small engine repair. Jeff was employed at Sears and later did small engine repair. Jeff ran many marathons to raise money for United Cerebral Palsy. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved dogs. He also really enjoyed his music.

Jeff was one of six children of Roy and Mary Rasmussen who survive him and will dearly miss him: his sisters, Cheryl (Mike) Kitzhaber, Lori Larson, Dawn (Rick) Suda, and Cheri Jacobson; and his brother, Shane (Cindy) Rasmussen. He is also lovingly survived by his very special friend, Diane Eady, who was the love of his life for 30 years; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
