Smith, Joan C. (26 DEC 1973)
Joan C. Smith, Madison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith, Elkhorn,
Wisconsin, and Michael L. Mack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherrin Mack, Loyal (Clark
Co., Wis.), were married at 5 p.m., December 26, 1973 at St. Anthony's Catholic
Church, Loyal. Father Pius A. Leabel, great uncle of the groom, performed the
nuptial ceremony.
Sharon Schoonover was the soloist, accompanied by Jody Schoonover.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was seen in a crème colored
crepe dress, and carried red and white tea roses on white satin Bible, and wore
a long satin ribbon in her hair.
Miss Karen Fury, Madison, was maid of honor, and wore a deep brown velvet dress
and carried a long stemmed red rose.
Shawn Mack, brother of the groom, was best man.
Jeff Lindekugel was usher.
A reception and buffet were held at the groom's home after the ceremony.
She attended UW, Whitewater, and is employed as a telephone operator.
Her husband attended UW, Madison and UW, La Crosse, and is a nuclear technician
in the U.S. navy, stationed aboard USS Hunley.
