Wendt, Edris (Marriage – 8 February 1975)
The Neillsville United Methodist Church was the setting Saturday, February 8,
for the wedding of Miss Edris Wendt and Franklin Hrasky. The Rev. William Noble
officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by an afternoon reception
at the Wildcat Inn and an evening dance at the Silver Dome ballroom.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wendt gave their daughter in marriage to the son of Mr. and
Mrs. William Hrasky. All are of Neillsville.
A lace-edged, cathedral-length veil of sheer illusion held by a lace crown
framed the bride’s traditional white gown. Fashioned with a stand-up lace
collar, full, sheer sleeves gathered into lace cuffs, and a sheer yoke outlined
with lace, the gown was highlighted by a cathedral length train. The empire
waistline was defined by a band of narrow ribbon. A white Bible with a white
orchid, pink roses, stephanotis, ivy and ribbon streamers completed her
ensemble.
Mrs. Janice Hribar, Greenwood was her sister’s honor attendant. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Sylvia Dayton and Mrs. Kathy Doud. Their pink and white flower printed mint
green gowns were styled with high collars, long, fitted sleeves and yokes edged
with self-ruffling. Bow ties added back interest. Each carried an arrangement of
deep pink carnations and white daisies with foliage.
Attending the groom were James Doud as bestman and Darryl Dayton and Ronald
Hribar, Greenwood, as groomsmen. Guests were seated by James Ziegler,
Marshfield, and John Wildish,
Greenwood.
Soloist Mrs. Mary Weigert, Fond du Lac, cousin of the bride, sag “Wedding
Prayer,” and “We’ve Only Just Begun.” Mrs. James Musil was organist.
The newlyweds, graduates of Neillsville High School, are both employed in
Neillsville, where they are making their home.
