Redmond, Ernest J. (23 FEB 1904 – JAN 1974)
Word has been received here of the death of Ernest J. Redmond of Oregon City,
Oregon. Death was due to lung cancer.
Mr. Redmond, son of the late James Redmond of Neillsville, was born February 23,
1904 on the farm now owned by the Donald Acheson family.
The Redmond family moved to Oregon about a year after Ernest was born, and
returned to Clark County in 1919, after the death of the mother. Ernie again
went to Oregon in 1921, where, except for a short stay in Canada, he made his
home. He has visited his father and sisters in this vicinity several times over
the past years.
Mr. Redmond is survived by his wife, Frances, one son, Dale Redmond, four
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of Oregon. He is also survived
by three sisters, Mrs. A.W. Helms of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Herbert Swan of
Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Neillsville, and Mrs. Elery Moberg of Greenwood.
