Jackson, Herman (? – 20 JAN 1974)
Mr. Herman Jackson, a brother-in-law of Mrs. J.R. Colby, and at one time a
druggist in Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away in a Sparta Hospital on January
20, 1974.
After Mr. Jackson sold his drug business in Loyal to Mr. E. Wepfer, he moved to
Sparta, where he bought a drug store, which has been known as the Jackson Drug
Store. Mr. Jackson will long be remembered because of his interest in the
people, his community, his church, and project which he helped make possible.
He was a 50 year Mason, and a member of the Kiwanis Club.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, a sister of Mrs. J.R. Colby, two daughters, Mrs.
Homer Gee of Superior, and Mrs. Bill Richardson of Danville, Illinois. His four
grandchildren, three of whom are in the University, attended the funeral
services, as well as other relatives and a great man friends. Mrs. J.R. Colby
went to Sparta to attend the funeral.
