Oestreich, Harry (15 NOV 1896 – 6 FEB 1974)
Harry Oestreich, 77, formerly of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died suddenly at his
winter home in Texas on Wednesday, February 6, 1974.
Mr. Oestreich was born November 15, 1896 in the town of Sherman (Clark Co.). He
served in World War I, and later married Melinda Vedder, who preceded him in
death.
Harry worked for Lakeshire Cheese Company for fourteen years. He later resided
in Withee (Clark Co.), and then moved to Wisconsin Rapids, where he worked for
Felkers until his retirement, when he moved to Florence, Alabama.
He is survived by his second wife, Mamie, one daughter, Mrs. W.J. (Arlene)
Ratzburg, and four grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lorena
Yde, Tucson, Arizona, Mrs. Evelyn Vogel, Valley City, North Dakota, and three
brothers, Walter, Hebron, Ohio, Dennis, Marshfield, and Lothar, Loyal.
Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Verle, two
brothers, and three sisters.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon in Florence, Alabama.
