Bullard, LaVon (Hill) (8 AUG 1929 - 8 MAY 2018)
LaVon Bullard, 88, Holcombe, went to be with her Lord and Savior May 8, 2018.
LaVon was born in Milwaukee Aug. 8, 1929, the daughter of Clifford and Lily
Hill. She attended and graduated from Janesville High school.
After high school, she was united in marriage to Laurence “Larry” Bullard.
During their marriage, she learned to hunt and fish, as Larry always nurtured
her love of nature. Among the jobs LaVon had throughout her life, her favorite
was transporting physically and mentally challenged children to and from school,
which she did for 10 years.
She was strong in her faith and was an active church member. She also enjoyed
being a leader for the girls club Pioneer Girls, and she and Larry volunteered
at Camp Cherith for 15 years.
After retiring in 1985, LaVon and Larry moved away from the Madison area to live
in Holcombe, where they resided for the remainder of their lives. Larry sadly
passed away in 2004.
LaVon was an active member at Faith Baptist Church in Cornell. She also enjoyed
being part of TOPS and KOPS. She was super, wonderful, loving, caring, giving
and a special spirit. Her smile and love will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her children – Georgia Bullard, Judy (Ron) Cody and Kathie
(Dave) Bach; siblings – Donald Hill, John (Angie) Hill, Marvin (Betty) Hill,
Rick (Patty) Hill, Gary (Linda) Hill and Linda (Jerry) Bade; sons-in-law –
Richard Sawyer and Richard Meilke; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and
