Day, Billy E. (14 NOV 1933 - 25 MAY 2018)
Billy E. Day, 84 of Hannibal, died Friday, May 25, 2018.
He was born on November 14, 1933 to the late Dean and Doris (Williams) Day.
Billy grew up in the area and graduated from Hannibal High. He married Priscilla
Emry on October 17, 1953 in Jump River.
Billy loved farming on the family farm where he was born and lived his entire
life. He had a deep love for his entire family and a special place in his heart
for all of his grandchildren and
great grandchildren. Billy also had a love for hunting; taking many trips out
west over the years. Also, the “family vacation” meant a lot to him. He was the
caretaker of Hannibal cemetery
for 15 years and a member of the Gilman School Board for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Priscilla of Hannibal, his children,
Scott (Teresa) Day of Jump River, Tom (Marilyn) Day of Eau Claire, Jerry (Dawn)
of Elk Mound, Susan (David)
Bouchard of Shell Lake and Dr. Curtis (Michael Paulen) Day of Saugatuck, MI, 12
grandchildren, Billie (Brian) Schilling, Aaron (Erin) Day, Tim (Amy Flatten)
Day, Angela (Brian) Welsh, Jim (Abbey) Day, Rich (Megan) Day, Brian Day, Kendal
(Brad) Stockel, Garrick (Samantha) Day, Elise Bouchard, Amy (Miguel Barraza)
Bouchard and Jeremy Bouchard, 14 great grandchildren with two on the way and one
sister, Deana Hoffman of Arizona.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, son, Alan and sister, Shirley
Lechleitner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Christ
Community Church-Jump River with Rev. Joey Olsen officiating. Burial will follow
in the Hannibal
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Monday, May 28 at the Gilman Funeral
Home and Tuesday morning one hour prior to services at the church.
