Kriplean, Alan Charles (14 OCT 1956 - 27 MAY 2018)
Alan C. Kriplean, 62, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Aurora
St. Luke’s Medical Center-Milwaukee.
Born in Caledonia on October 14, 1956, he was the son of Alfred T. and Anita L.
(Lipprandt) Kriplean. He spent his early life in West Allis where he graduated
from Central High School.
On February 10, 1984, he was united in marriage to Penny Leischer. In 1986 Alan
joined the Army where he retired as a Master Sergeant in 2007, after 21 years of
service. They lived in various places during his time of service, settling in
Burlington in 2014. Alan enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working crossword
puzzles. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with his family. If you
ever played Trivial Pursuit with him, you wanted him on your team, as he was
very knowledgeable and always had the right answer.
He is survived by his wife, Penny; daughters, Jody (Ron) Dahl, Jennifer (Chuck)
Kucej and Kim (Sean) Allender; grandchildren, Jonathan Schoenfeldt, Sarah
Schoenfeldt, Kayla Dykstra, Rachel Schoenfeldt, Daniel Kucej, Jarrett
Schoenfeldt, Maddie Allender and Stephanie Kucej. He is also survived by
sisters, Annette Kriplean and Alyce (Mike) Marvell along with nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions in memory of Alan can be made to ACC-So. Lakes, Aurora
Cancer Care, 709 Spring Valley Road, Burlington, WI 53105.
The family would like to thank Dr. Syed Haider and Physicians Assistant, Katrina
with Aurora Burlington Cancer Care for the wonderful care they provided. Also a
special thank you goes to the nurses, especially nurse Jenn, and staff with
Aurora St. Luke’s - Neuro ICU for their care and compassion during Alan’s
illness.
Services for Alan will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at
Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be at the
funeral home on Thursday, May 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Burial will be at
Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Friday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m.
with full Military Honors.
