Junior Kiwanian Dana Bautch Honored (May – 2018)

May Junior Kiwanian

Dana Bautch

As the current school year ends, the Neillsville Kiwanis Club is pleased to have graduating senior Dana Bautch as its latest Junior Kiwanian.

She is the daughter of Daniel and Wendy Bautch and participated in the club’s meeting during May.

Like many of the Junior Kiwanians throughout the year, Bautch has maintained an active high school career that is characterized by academic achievement, participation in numerous extra-curricular activities and full involvement in the community.

She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, has served on Student Council, and is a member of the History, Creative Writing and Spanish clubs. She is the outgoing FFA president and has been involved in the organization for the past six years.

Bautch also has been active in Being a Leader and Standing Tall group, having assisted with the mock accident drill and Grim Reaper Day.

Her involvement in sports includes cross-country and track manager.

In the community, Batch is serving as Miss Neillsville, and has participated in recent clothing and supply drives.

She also has had employment at Sniteman Pharmacy, Shopko, C-Dairy, and as sports reporter for The Clark County Press. For the past two years, she has worked to create her own business, Dana Lee Photography.

Bautch plans to further her education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she intends to pursue a major in Spanish education, with a journalism minor.

With its emphasis on the youth of our community, the Neillsville Kiwanis Club welcomes Bautch as its Junior Kiwanian, and wishes her and the other 2018 graduates the best in their future pursuits.
