A new library for Medford, whether an add-on to the existing building or a brand
new building on another site, is probably going to cost more than $1 million,
Architect Val Schute told the library board last week.
Schute is a partner in the La Crosse firm of Schute-Larson Architects, the firm
picked by the board to design a new library.
He was in Medford last Wednesday night to “walk” the board through the
advantages and disadvantages of both adding on to the existing buildings and
building new on a different site.
