Schaeffner, Blanche (11 NOV 1888 – 17 APR 1974)

Blanche Schaeffner, 85, R. 2, Spencer, died early Wednesday morning, April 17, 1974, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Fensome.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Methodist Church, Loyal, and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Rev. Frank Mutchler, pastor of Free Methodist Church, Loyal, conducted the services, and the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.

The former Blanche Eysnogle was born November 11, 1888 in Richland County, Wis., and received her education at the Spokeville (Clark Co., Wis.), schools.

She was married April 11, 1908 at Richland Center to Karl Schaeffner, who preceded her in death March 27, 1953.

The couple farmed in the Town of Loyal (Clark Co.) for thirty years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Selma) Fensome, R. 2, Spencer, and Mrs. J.E. (Irma) Hollister, Greenville, Ill.; one son, Wilbur, Fridley, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Zettie Young, Mesiah, Arizona.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters.

Pallbearer were Henry Kostlevy, Everett Kauffman, Bernard Clouse, Dennis Larson, Harold Schlinsog, Ross Stevens.

Mrs. Sharon Horn sang "Till the Storm Passes By" and "Jesus Keep Me Nearer the Cross." Mrs. Donna Balciar was the organist.
