Darla Hium, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hium of Route 3, Greenwood (Clark Co.,
Wis.), has been named Valedictorian for Greenwood High School Class of 1974.
Miss Hium has been active in many high school activities, including annual
staff, junior editor and editor, drama club president, Pep Club, FBLA, Echo
Staff, National Honor Society, Foreign Exchange Student to Columbia, chorus,
forensics for two years, one-act play contest, and a cast member in "Romeo and
Juliet," "Finian's Rainbow, " and "Oklahoma." Among the awards that Miss Hium
has received are an
"A" rating at the State Forensics, most valuable Drama Club member, Wisconsin
Honor Scholarship recipient, and place in top ten in Public Speaking Categoary
at the Future Business Leaders of America Convention.
Miss Hium has spokento several groups in the community about her foreign
exchange program and forensics, is a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, on
the Concil-Youth and Worth Committee, Luther League Treasurer, and member of the
executive committee, assistant Sunday School teacher, and director for junior
high choir. She enjoys singing, cooking, playing guitar and sewing, along with
crocheting and public speaking. At the present time she plans to major in
political science at the UW, Eau Claire.
