A first place award in the statewide competition was presented to the Tribune-Record-Gleaner last Friday at the annual meeting of the Wisconsin Press Association. The annual meeting was held from Thursday through Saturday at the Chula Vista Resort, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

The award was in the category, 'Best Institutional House Ad' for the Mark IV Special subscription ads, which appeared in the October 1973 issue.

The first place award make the fourth consecutive year the TRG has been an award winning newspaper. Previous awards have been for community service, general excellence and best editorial.

The Wisconsin Press Association represents 217 weekly newspapers throughout the state.
