Metcalfe, Mr./Mrs. Ray (Gold – 18 MAY 1974)
On May 18, 1974 at 7 p.m. friends and relatives will gather at the Spencer
Municipal Hall to honor Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe of Spencer on their Golden
Wedding Anniversary.
Married May 18, 1924 at Redwood Falls, Minnesota, the couple farmed in the area,
and later moved to Rockford, Ill., Belvidere, Ill., and moved to Spencer in
1951, farming until their retirement in 1969. The Metcalfe's have two sons,
Roger of Spencer and Stanley of Loyal.
A daughter, Mrs. Lola Cammers, is deceased. They also have 13 grandchildren, 8
great-grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.
