Greg and Kevin Steiner, a junior and senior respectively at the Granton High
School, have been notified that they will be featured in the latest edition of
Who's Who Among American High School Students. The boys are the sons of Mr. and
Mrs. Francis Steiner of Granton.
Both boys are active in 4-H, FFA, athletics, public speaking and drama. Kevin
place second in the state in FFA public speaking and third in the state in
demonstrations. Greg place first in the state in 4-H public speaking and first
in the state in demonstrations. Greg has appeared throughout the state this year
speaking with his father at banquets. Both boys have been president of their
respective classes and president of each organization they belong to. They each
manage a Little League baseball team.
Kevin is the local Badger Boys' State representative this year, delegate to the
FFA State Convention, and a member of the state FFA band, a 4-H interstate
exchange student to Iowa this summer, and plays American Legion baseball.
Greg represented Wisconsin last summer at the American Institute of Cooperation
in New Orleans, place second last year in the sate as an agribusiness student,
is a finalist this year in the state FFA public speaking contest, and is a
delegate this summer to the 4-H leadership short course in Washington, D.C.
Both boys rent a barn on the outskirts of town and raise hogs for the Junior
Livestock Show, run a lawn mowing service, and sell Christmas trees. Each plans
to pursue an agribusiness course upon graduation.
