Miss Karen Geiger, Kenosha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Geiger, R. 2, Loyal
(Clark Co., Wis.), and Mrs. Edward Lee Haslow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold
Haslow, 220 S. Main Stree, Loyal, were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday,
May 18, 1974, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. Norbert King
officiated at the nuptial high mass.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her parents, was seen in a white gown
trimmed with white lace roses on skirt front and train. A matching long veil was
attached to the silver crown Karen used when she was prom queen. The bride
carried pink roses and white gardenias with pink rose buds on white streamers.
Miss Judy Zettler played guitar and sang, accompanied by Mrs. Sharon Schoonover
and Miss Jody Schoonover.
Mrs. Lavon Lindner, R.R., Loyal, was maid of honor, with Mrs. Marvin Geiger,
R.R., Loyal, Mrs. Dale Vine, Granton, and Mrs. Alan Geiger, Loyal, as
bridesmaids. The maid of honor was attired in gown of mint green underskirt. The
bridesmaids' dresses were the same material with orchid, yellow and pink
underskirts. Their bouquets were of gardenias to match their gowns.
Caroly Geiger, the bride's sister, was flower girl, and wore a dress matching
the bridesmaids in pink.
Mr. Randy Kanneberg, Loyal, was best man, and Mrs. George Tarter, R. 1, Loyal,
Marvin Geiger, R. 2, Loyal, and Mr. Randy Haslow, R. 2, Loyal, were groomsmen.
Mr. Tim Landwehr, Mosinee, and Mr.s Boby Young, River Falls, performed ushering
duties.
The reception followed the ceremony at the Loyal Fire Hall. Supper was served at
4:30 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church dining hall.
Karen's godmother, Mrs. Twyla Kroening, Stratford, and Eddie's sister, Mrs.
Maxine Tarter, Loyal, did the honors of cutting the wedding cake. Completing
their day , a shower-wedding dance was held at the fire ahll.
Mrs. Haslow is a graduate of Loyal High School, as is her husband. She is
employed at Sheridan Nursing Home, Kenosha, and Mr. Haslow is a student at
Gateway Schools for Aircraft Technicians in Kenosha. Their home will be 6345
25th Ave., Kenosha, Wis.
