David Dean Harvala, 59, of Bruce, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018.

Dave was born on June 2, 1958 in Ishpeming, Mich. He made his home in Rusk County in 2003. He was an avid reader, liked talking about current events and politics and enjoyed scenic drives. He also had a great sense of humor and a very quick wit.

Dave’s faith was important to him. He was a born-again believer and attended Ladysmith Baptist Church. He had many friends at the church and throughout the community, especially at the Bruce Public Library and a local fitness center.

He is survived by his mother, step-father, siblings and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held for Dave on Sunday, June 10 at the Ladysmith Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dave Smith officiating. Friends of Dave are encouraged to attend.
