Hopperdietzel, Ralph D. (7 MAR 1923 - 22 SEP 2001)
Ralph D. Hopperdietzel, 78, 408 Elm St., Athens, died Saturday, September 22,
2001 at his home.
Ralph was born March 7, 1923 in the Town of Rietbrock, son of the late Frank and
Ola (Kehl) Hopperdietzel. He married Marella Auner August 7, 1943 in Marathon
County. She preceded him in death January 9, 1982.
Ralph was a construction worker his whole life.
He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce (Jerry) Strasser, West Bend and Beverly
(Dennis) Hart, Athens, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister,
Leona (Carl) Weise, Medford and one brother, Bucky (Delores) Hopperdietzel,
Athens.
Besides his wife, Marella, and his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one
daughter, Sharon Lake, one grandson, Kevin and one brother, Harold.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2001 at Peterson/Kraemer
Funeral Home, Athens. Rev. Donn Radde will officiate. Burial will be in the
Athens Village Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of
services at the Athens funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Ralph’s name.
