Cleveland Wray G. (8 MAY 1880 – 02 JUL 1971)
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home here for
Wray G. Cleveland, 91, of Havenet Nursing Home, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died
Friday.
The Rev. Hilding Peterson, pastor of the United Church of Christ of Owen,
officiated, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
Six grandsons served as pallbearers.
Mr. Cleveland was born May 8, 1880 in Racine and was married in June 1916 at
Fargo N.D. to Vera Mattice, who preceded him in death in 1965.
The couple made their home in Fargo, and in 1938, they came to Owen, where he
had since made his home. He had been a resident at the Memorial Home in
Neillsville and the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen, for the past 18 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Alice) Bower, Owen, seven
grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
