Maricle, Edward M. (6 JUL 1876 – 9 AUG 1971)
Edward M. Maricle, a resident of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past 14 years,
died Monday, August 9, 1971 at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley. Death was
attributed to complications of old age. He was 95 years, 1 month and 3 days of
age.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning from the Holy Rosary
Catholic Church, Owen. Rev. George Becker will officiated, with burial being
made at Riverside Cemetery.
The deceased was born July 6, 1876 in Iowa. On June 17, 1913 he was married to
Pearl Krzywski at Minneapolis, Minn. They settle on a farm in the Sterling area
in 1914, and then in 1925 farmed in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) until
1957, when they moved to Withee (Clark Co.). He also followed the barber trade
for some 23 years in Minnesota and Oregon. While residing in the Reseburg area,
he was a school board member for several years, in addition to serving as
Justice of the Peace.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; two sons, James Maricle, Waukegan, Ill., and
Waldo Maricle, Webb Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Gladys) Michur, Waukegan,
Ill.; and Mrs. Robert (Lorraine) McClear, Dixon, Ill.; eight grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
