Switalski, Thaddeus V. "Ted" (27 AUG 1900 – 29 JUL 1971)
Thaddeus V. "Ted" Switalski, 70, died at Mayo's in Rochester, Minn. on July 29,
1971, after a long illness.
He was born enar Ivanhoe, Minn. on August 27, 1900, and came to Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.) with his parents at the age of 5. He was graduated from the Owen High
School, attended the University of Wisconsin, and later the University of
Minnesota. In 1941 he was married to Japie McGrew in Washington, D.C., and for
several years made his home in Madison. He later moved to Adams, Wis., where he
acquired extensive land holdings, and lived there until he died.
He leaves to mour him, one son, Bruce, who is a graduate student at Chadron
College, Nebraska; two brothers, Joseph of Madison and Albert of Brooklyn, Wis.;
five sisters, Wanda Weaver and Irene McCarthy of Chicago, Katherine Bentley of
Evansville, Ill., Hedwig Corban of Skokie, Ill., and Stella Frohriep of Sturgis,
Michigan.
He was laid to rest in St. Leo's Cemetery in Adams, Wis. on August 2, 1971.
