Miss Marilyn Jean Sachs and Roger Anthony Perzinski exchanged wedding vows at
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thorp on July 31, 1971.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sachs, Route 1, Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.), and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Perzinski, Route
1, Stevens Point.
The Rev. R.W. Olson and the Rev. William Matzek officiated at the 2 p.m.
ceremony. Candace Horn was soloist, and John Sachs, brother of the bride, was
organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father.
Miss Diane Jacks was maid of honor, and Diane Hanson was bridesmaid. Richard
Baltzell served the bridegroom as best man. Gary Perzinski, brother of the
groom, was groomsman, and Leonard McCord and Neale Ward were ushers.
A dinner and reception were held at the American Legion Hall at Thorp after the
ceremony.
The bride, a graduate of Thorp High School and State College of Beauty Culture,
is employed at the Golden Hairpin. Mr. Perzinski, a graduate of P.J. Jacobs High
School, is employed by E.A. Perzinski Potatoes. The couple will live at
Evergreen Villa in Stevens Point.
Guests attending the wedding from Bancroft, Stevens Point, Arnott, Plover,
Custer, Thorp, Stanley, Greenwood, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire and La Crosse, and
from Chicago, Barrington and Waukegan, Illinois.
Prior to her marriage, the bride was honored at a surprise shower given by her
bridesmaids at her parents' home in Thorp, and a surprise shower was given by
the groom's Godmother at his parents' home in Stevens Point.
