Raeck, Frederick (19 MAR 1886 – 2 SEP 1971)
A former area resident, Frederick Raeck, 85, of 1020 Memorial Drive, Manitowoc,
died Thursday morning, sept 9, 1971 at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11 at the Klein-Stangel
Funeral Home in Two Rivers, with the Rev. Karl F. Koch officiating. Burial was
made in the Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Frederick Raeck was born March 19, 1886 in the Town of Two Rivers, son of the
late Fred and Minnie (Drier) Raeck. In 1895 he moved with his parents to the
town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis. He married Martha Oestreich in 1909 and they
made their home on a farm in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co.) until four
years ago, when they moved to Manitowoc to live with their daughter.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Anna) Ruether,
Manitowoc, and Mrs. Ben (Ida) Bukachek, Minneapolis, Minn.; three grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren, also survived.
He was preceded in death by a son, Harlen, in 1959.
