A $1.8 million law suit brought by Todd Verdon against 17 area individuals or
firms alleged to have played some role in the sheriff’s sale of his property on
Perkinstown Avenue was recently dismissed in Federal District Court by Judge
Barbara Crabb.
Crabb, who said Verdon’s complaint was “nothing more than an expression of his
outrage over the foreclosure of his property in state court and subsequent said
of that property,” also ruled that his suit was “legally frivolous and factually
baseless.”
In a 40-page complaint filed in federal court by Verdon, he alleged that all
defendants, by their participation in the foreclosure and sale of his property,
conspired to defraud him and deprive him of his lands, obstructed justice,
denied him due process of law and engaged in racketeering and theft.
