Collins, Marianne (Schweikert) (9 SEP 1939 - 13 JUN 2018)
Marianne Collins, 78, Phillips, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home
in Phillips on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.
She was born in the Town of Emery on September 9, 1939, the daughter of
Frederick and Verna (Morey) Schweikert. She was a 1957 graduate of the Phillips
High School. She was married to Don Lasee on September 14, 1957, and they later
divorced. She was married to Leonard Collins on November 13, 1981, and they
later Divorced.
Her working career was long and varied, she was, of course, a homemaker, she was
employed by the General Trading Company, by the Wausau Credit Bureau, as a
waitress, worked as an auto mechanic, owned and operated a Phillips 66 Service
Station in Minnesota, as a wreath maker, and as a store clerk. In her free time
she was a very active volunteer worker.
She is survived by her children, June (Tony) Bornholdt, Hawkins, Jean Lasee,
Phillips, Russell (Jen) Lasee, Phillips, and Robin (Jamie) Trzecinski, Phillips;
by her step children, Thora (Kevin) Felix, Phillips, Leonard (Renata) Collins
Jr., Phillips, Louis (Janelle) Collins, Phillips, and Lauren (Dan) Fischer,
Phillips; by 21 grandchildren and by numerous great grandchildren; and by many
nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 16, at the Heindl
Funeral Home in Phillips with Pastor Christian Markle of the Maranatha Baptist
Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00
P.M. until the time of services. Interment will be in the Emery Cemetery in the
Town of Emery.
