Perkins, Kay M. (Daniels) (2 APR 1954 - 12 JUN 2018)
Kay M. Perkins passed away on June 12, 2018 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 17 at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home,
948 Grand Ave., Schofield from 3-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at John
J. Buettgen Funeral Home on Monday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m with a one hour
visitation prior.
Kay was born on April 2, 1954, in Medford. She received her bachelor’s degree in
dietetics and her master’s degree in food science and nutrition from UW-Stout.
She married Lewis Perkins on Sept. 17, 1983. She worked as a WIC director for 40
years. She also did volunteer work with Marathon County Hunger Coalition, United
Way, and the Community Garden. Kay enjoyed gardening, baking, reading and doing
crafts.
Kay is survived by her husband Lewis; siblings, Thomas (Anita) Daniels and Donna
Daniels-Reed; step-children, Scott Perkins, Sarah (Ken) Maciaz and Shelley
(Ryan) Wucherer; grandchildren, Liz, Peri, Madi, Ben and Duke; niece, Danielle;
nephew, Jeff (Vicki); great-niece, Holly; and great-nephew, Lukas.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Evelyn Daniels.
