Draheim, William C. (24 JUN 1887 – 13? OCT 1971)
At two o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 16, 1971, funeral services for
William C. Draheim, 84, were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.
Ed Baum, Bible Student reader, officiated, with burial being made at St. Paul's
Lutheran Cemetery in Colby Township.
Mr. Draheim was born June 24, 1887 in Manitowoc County and received his
education there. He was married June 10, 1908 in Manitowoc County to Adelia
Knuth, who preceded him in death November 26, 1965.
The couple came to this area shortly after their marriage and operated a farm in
the town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.) until 1922, when he began operating a
garage in the town of Atwood. In 1929 they moved to the town of Hixon and
operated a farm there, and in the town of Longwood, until his retirement in
1960.
Survivors include a son, Walter, route 1, Owen; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer
(Irene) Yeomans, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Carl (Anita) Vater, route 1, Withee; six
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Raymond, in 1960,
and two brothers.
