Hansen, Harry A. (8 JUL 1892 – 27 OCT 1971)

Saturday afternoon at two o'clock funeral services were conducted for a former area resident, Harry A. Hanse, 79, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. The Rev. Panier of Milwaukee officiated at the final rites, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Earl Jensen, Sig. Sorenson, C.E. Beck, Bertel Miller, and Vernon Miller.

Death came to Mr. Hansen at St. Michael's Hospital, Milwaukee, on the 27th of October, 1971, when he was being treated for a heart condition. He was 79 years of age.

Harry A. Hansen was born July 8, 1892 in Illinois. He came with his parents to a farm in the Town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1900. On June 8, 1926 he and the former Caroline A. Hansen were united in marriage in a ceremony performed in Minneapolis. The couple resided in the Town of Hixon until 1958, when they moved to Abbotsford, and he did carpentry work. In 1961 they moved to Milwaukee, and have since resided at 4001 W. Willard Avenue. He was a member of the American Legion, having served with the U.S. Army in World War I.

He is survived by his wife Caroline, Milwaukee; and a son Floyd Hansen, also of Milwaukee; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Lorentzen, Los Angeles, California.
