Plas were formulated but realization of them couldn't come about until Tuesday,
when Bill Weinberger went to Madison and got the approval of the Industrial
Commission to build a "self-service" gas station in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).
He obtained the permit and construction began yesterday morning of burying two
large gas tanks that were delivered earlier in the week from Felker Corporation
at Marshfield. Work will soon begin on another building, to be located to the
west of Weinberger's Construction Company's garage. This new structure of all
glass front will be 12 x 18 in size. Four self-service pumps will be available
for the public's use.
Weinberger said that he is hopeful the station will be operative within a
month's time from this date, possibly sooner if the pumps are available.
