Zschernitz, Mathilda (14 MAR 1890 – 28 OCT 1958)

Neillsville (Special) – Mrs. Carl Zschernitz, 68, of 1910 Johnson Street, died at Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon, following a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church here at 9 a.m. today.

The Rev. Joseph Eisenmann will officiated, and burial will be in the Neillsville Cemetery. The Bergemann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The former Mathilda Dobes was born in Chicago on March 14, 1890, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Fialia) Dobes. She was married at St. Paul, Minnesota, living here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) since her marriage. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband and 11 children, Mrs. Earl Rea of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Max Lukas, Louis, Robert, Earl and Melvin, all of Neillsville; Mrs. Lester Volz and Frank of Black River Falls; Glenn of Eau Claire; LaVerne of Stanley, and Charles of Indiana; a brother, Frank Dobes of Neillsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Adolph Meier of Neillsville and Mrs. Julia Wendell of North Judson, Indiana.
