Ehlers, Cynthia (Marriage – 22 February 1975)

A 7:30 p.m. ceremony performed Saturday, February 22, at Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Pine Valley by the Rev. Stephen Engelstad united Cynthia K. Ehlers and Larry Strangfeld in marriage. The couple greeted guests afterwards at a reception at the Wildcat Inn.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Marg. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Strangfeld are the groom’s parents. All are of Rt. 2 Neillsville.

A bouquet of yellow mums and baby’s breath accented the bride’s mint green gown accessorized by a white picture hat with matching ribbon and cluster of matching mums.

Dark hunter green halter dresses with matching jackets were worn by honor attendant Pam Gress and bridesmaid Leila Strangfeld, Kenosha. Each carried a white spider mum with contrasting ribbon.

Bruce Strangfeld, Eau Claire, served as bestman and Greg Gress, as groomsman. Ushering duties were shared by Jeff Marg and Jeff Strangfeld.

“The Lord’s Prayer” and “More” were sung by Caroline Helm accompanied by Virginia Karnitz.

The newlyweds both graduates of Neillsville High School, will make their home in Neillsville upon their return from a wedding trip to various northern cities. The new Mrs. Strangfeld is employed as a waitress. Her husband is a mechanic for a motor sports dealership.
