Andersen, Margaret (29 AUG 1881 – 13 NOV 1971)
Funeral services were held at two o'clock Monday afternoon from the Nazareth
Lutheran Church, Withee, for Mrs. Margaret Andersen. The parish pastor, Rev.
Sullivan, was in charge of the service, and burial was made in the parish
cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Cliff Montag, Tony Jensen, Harry Bruckschlager,
Peter Steager, Fred Rohland, and Walter Heideman.
Mrs. Andersen passed away on Saturday, November 13, 1971, at the Havenet Nursing
home in Owen, where she had been a resident for the past five years.
She was born Margaret Miller, August 29, 1881, in Iowa. On November 29, 1905 in
Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), she and the late Charles "Carl" Andersen were married.
They farmed in the Town of Hixon for a number of years prior to their retirement
and moving to Withee in 1950.
She had long been active in the work and projects of the Nazareth Lutheran
Church, as well as in the activities of the Danish Ladies Aid.
She is survived by a son, Edward, Andersen, Withee; a daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Eleanore)
Christensen of Withee; three grandchildren; and also three brothers, Andrew
Miller, Withee, John Miller, Chicago, and Martin Miller, Fenton, Michigan.
