San Bernardino, California – U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Arnold L. Oestreich,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold M. Oestreich of 200 Union, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.),
has received the Air Medal at Norton AFB, California.
Sgt. Oestreich, an aircraft loadmaster, was decorated for his outstanding
airmanship and courage on successful and important missions, successful and
important missions completed under hazardous conditions. He has serve 12 months
in Vietnam.
The sergeant, a 1965 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, is presently at
Norton with a unit of the Military Airlift Command. MAC provides global airlift
for U.S. Military forces.
His wife, Mary, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Abbott of 5583 N. Franklin,
Merced, California.
