Halverson, Maelon C. (4 AUG 1910 – 17 DEC 1971)

At 1:30 Monday afternoon funeral services were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, for Maelon Cecil Halverson, 61, of Minneapolis, and a former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident.

Mr. Halverson succumbed to a lingering illness Friday, December 17, 1971 at the Colonial Nursing Home in Colby, where he had been a patient.

The Rev. J.W. Primley, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church of Unity, officiated at the final rites, and burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were C.O. Albert, Donald Hawks, Elmer Haselow, Louis Burhop, R.H. Haire, and S.E. Grimes.

Masonic services were held at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Masonic Temple, with Louis Burhop being in charge.

The deceased was born August 4, 1910 in Wisconsin, and received his early education in the Owen and Loyal schools, and was a graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.

He had been employed by the Fairbanks and Morse Company, La Crosse for a time, and by the 3M Company and Senior Designs in Minneapolis.

He was married October 28, 1950, in St. Paul, Minn., to Agnes Perrault, who preceded him in death in 1969.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Rachel) Hopkins, Madison; and Mrs. Everett (Eloise) Jacobsen, Eau Claire; two nieces and three nephews; and his mother, Mrs. Louise Halverson, Owen.
