Kilhoffer, Lorraine A. (5 APR 1917 – 6 FEB 2018)

Lorraine Anne Kilhoffer, age 90, of 1815 Hampshire, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 1:45 p.m. in Blessing Hospital


She was born April 5, 1917 in Clark County, Wisconsin the daughter of Leo Andrew and Eva Mary (Fleming) Hutter. On April 15, 1936 she married Leonard Leo Kilhoffer in Pittsfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death in August of 1988.


She was a graduate of Edgewood High School in Madison, Wisconsin. She was employed by the social security administration, working in the Danville, Decatur and Quincy offices. She retired in May of 1978 after 26 years of service.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.


Survivors include a daughter, Alice Lynne Gist of Quincy; two granddaughters: Lori Ann Gist of Quincy; and Karen Elaine Wassenberg and her husband, Matt, of Marysville, KS; two great granddaughters: Katelynn Lauralyn and Renee Marie Wassenberg, both of Marysville, KS; a brother, Eugene K. Hutter and his wife, Wanda, of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Howard Gist; a brother and sister-in-law, Wallace Leo and Mary Ellen Hutter; and a grandson, Craig Andrew Gist.


Funeral Services: Saturday, February 9, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Monsignor Michael Kuse officiating. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation: at the time of service.
