Neuman, Walter F. (4 JAN 1894 – 28 DEC 1971)
Funeral services are being planned for Walter Fred Neuman, 77, who succumbed to
a heart attack while enroute to the Marshfield hospital at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday,
December 28, 1971. The final rites will be conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut
Funeral Home, Owen, at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 31, with the Rev. Lester
Kringle, pastor of the Alliance Church, Owen, officiating. Burial will be made
in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery at Curtiss.
Serving as pallbearers will be Elmer Schmidt, Dave Pederson, Bernard Jacobsen,
Milton Meske, Arnold Bakke, and Solomon Krause.
The deceased was born January 4, 1894 in the Town of Green Grove (Clark Co.,
Wis.). On November 20, 1939 he and the former Irma Kopp were married in the
Little Brown Church, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Town of Hoard (Clark Co.),
where he served as town supervisor for a number of years. He was also a veteran
of World War I, having served in the Army.
He is survived by his widow, Irma, and two brothers, Herb and Alfred Neuman,
both of Curtiss (Clark Co.).
