The Fred Matson family fathered together for a family reunion at the Dorchester
(Clark Co., Wis.) Memorial Hall on Sunday afternoon, December 26, 1971.
A short business meeting was held, with an election of officers and plans were
made for our next reunion, which will be held in the summer from now on.
Those elected for office were Mrs. Russell Dearth, president, Mrs. Norman
Dearth, vice-president, Mrs. Rudolph Tauchen, Treasurer, Mrs. Jack Shadrick,
secretary.
After the meeting a potluck supper was enjoyed byall.
Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Matson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Matson and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Loran Sayles and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Dearth, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dearth, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dearth and family,
all of rural Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Tachen and family, Curtiss; Miss Lillian
Matson, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Death and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Death and
family, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Murphy and family, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs.
Roger Matson and family, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shadrick and family,
Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Death and family, Kenosha.
Four grandchildren and their families were unable to attend. They were Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Dearth and family, Wautoma; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dearth and family,
Phoenix, Arizona; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Wenzel and family, Goshen, New York, and
Mr. and Mrs. Duane Mrotek and family, Hayward.
