Nearly 1,800 University of Wisconsin, Whitewater students achieved academic
honors during the first semester of the 1971-72 school years, which ended in
December.
Of these, 230 received grades of straight A for a 4.0 average. An additional 800
earned semester grade point from 3.5 to 3.99, and were accorded first honors.
Second honors for grade point averages from 3.0 to 3.49 were grated to 1,565
students.
A student must carry at least 12 credits with no grade below a C.
Dennis Rohland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rohland, route 1, Box 296, Withee
(Clark Co., Wis.), earned second honors. A junior at Whitewater, he is an
accounting major.
