Anderson, Gust S. (31 DEC 1909 – 24 JAN 1972)
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock today, Thursday, January 27, 1972,
at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for Gust Sigward Anderson, 62, rural Owen
(Clark Co., Wis.), who died Monday evening of an apparent heart attack while
operating a snowplow in the town of Green Grove.
The Rev. Hilding Peterson, pastor of the United Church of Christ, Owen, will
officiated, and burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Art Mornson, Carl Sillampa, Tom Jablonic, Ronald DeLong,
Vincent Yanke, and Arne Halpainen.
Mr. Anderson was born December 31, 1900 in Sweden, and came to the United States
prior to his marriage on July 28, 1934, in Owen, to Linda Niemi, who survives
him. The couple farmed in the town of Green Grove since that time, and he also
was employed as an operating engineer with a construction firm.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Anderson, Abbotsford, and Lester, Montrose,
Colorado; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Arlene) Peissig, Wausau; Mrs. Lee (Donna
Mae) Meissner, Rib Lake, and Mrs. James (Dorothy) Bjornstad, Owen;; two
grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Herbert (Evelyn) Halmberg, Gladstone,
Michigan.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
