SP/5 Dennis D. Southworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claire Southworth, was discharged
from the Army on January 23, 1972. He spent the last nine months of service in
Giesen, Germany, where he received several awards for outstanding service to his
country and the NATO Alliance in Germany, while providing maintenance support
for the 19th Field Artillery, also for meritorious achievements by receiving a
perfect score of 100 percent with No Fault Notia. During a United States Army
Europe roadside spot inspection. In so doing he was admitted to Zero Defects
Club in the OV Corps Command.
He also received the Good Conduct Medal for the period of service June 26, 1969
to January 22, 1972.
SP/5 Southworth also spent one year tour of duty in DaNang Vietnam before going
to Germany. He was a 1967 graduate of Owen-Withee High School.
